AURANGABAD: The crime branch of the city police has nabbed two accused and claimed to have detected a case involving theft of computer and CCTV cameras installed at the premises of Milind College. The arrested accused have been identified as Ashfaq Anwar Shaikh, a resident of JaiBheem Nagar and Babasaheb alias Gajanan Bhavani Upalkar, a resident of Bhanudas Nagar, who have allegedly committed the theft about three to four months back.
Following the arrest, the crime branch sleuths have recovered some of the stolen articles from their possession. ACP (crime) Rameshwar Thorar said that it was following a specific tip off, our team led by API Ajabsingh Jarwal reached out to tea stall at Amarpreet Signal and rounded up Babasaheb, who confessed of committing a theft about three to four months back at Milind College and stealing computer and CCTV cameras installed there.
The crime branch sleuths have managed to recover a CPU and a couple of monitors from the accused duo. The sleuths believe that with this arrest, some more cases of theft are likely to get detected.
